Somewhere in the realms of Status Quo and Iron Maiden we have SPIDER. What a trip, and quite a delight. Cliches of the good old days of rock n roll abound in each song. Ol' SPIDER play nwobhm'nRoll with the same class as bands like Vardis, Girlschool, and Raven, but seem to "touch too much" on the cliche and cheese factor that rubbed out a lot of quality bands from the history books. At times the album is so good you wonder where it could have gone wrong. It seems at points that its a concept album. There is a song on it called Death Row which starts off with bassist "Brian Burrows" being sentenced to his doom by an old judge or something for playing rock n roll! Oh Lordy! The next track fires off into the best 12 bars Spider can spin.
