SPIDER rough justice 1984 ROCK N ROLL NWOBHM

Somewhere in the realms of Status Quo and Iron Maiden we have SPIDER. What a trip, and quite a delight. Cliches of the good old days of rock n roll abound in each song. Ol' SPIDER play nwobhm'nRoll with the same class as bands like Vardis, Girlschool, and Raven, but seem to "touch too much" on the cliche and cheese factor that rubbed out a lot of quality bands from the history books. At times the album is so good you wonder where it could have gone wrong. It seems at points that its a concept album. There is a song on it called Death Row which starts off with bassist "Brian Burrows" being sentenced to his doom by an old judge or something for playing rock n roll! Oh Lordy! The next track fires off into the best 12 bars Spider can spin. If you like Status Quo, Spider are their Nwobhm little brothers, and they play the stuff with as much heart as the best of em.'

Framed Wonderland 7" 1982 Rock N Roll Power Pop UK

This vinyl to MP3 transfer skips a wee bit here and there, but it is healthy and somewhat pricey. Apparent worth is 115$ cause its a scorcher. So undeniably lovable, harmonies and riffs abound. Try listening to it just once, you wont be able to. Crank it!!
